The Wedding!

Keep up to date with our wedding plans right here.

When is it?

Our functions and ceremonies will commence at 4pm, Monday 6th June 2016.  We will conclude the festivities with our Reception finishing late on Thursday 9th June 2016.

Where's the destination?

Set alongside Natadola Beach on Viti Levu Island, this high-end hotel with a PGA accredited golf course is 7 km from Robinson Crusoe Island.

Plush quarters with beach or forest views feature sitting areas, tea and coffeemaking facilities and Wi-Fi. Room service is available.

Dining options include an upscale poolside restaurant, an open-air bar/grill and a stylish bar. There’s also an 18-hole golf course, a spa with a steam room and yoga, and 4 outdoor pools.

Where do we stay?

The resort of choice for a luxury holiday in Fiji, multi award winning InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa sits majestically on a white sandy beach between the South Pacific Ocean and the rolling hills of Natadola Bay, on Fiji’s main island of Viti Levu.

We have secured special rates for the Garden View rooms of FJ$460 per night, twin share including breakfast for 2.  Additional nights are also available before and after our functions if you wish.

Room configurations are either 1 King Bed, or 2 Double Beds.  If available, interconnecting rooms can also be arranged.  For more information on the Garden View rooms, check out http://fiji.intercontinental.com/fiji-accommodation/garden-view

BYO Policy:

Note that the Intercontinental Fiji does not allow BYO drinks.  Should you wish to bring some drinks (eg. Duty Free etc), please keep these in your room.  What you do with it from there is up to you!

Great! I want to stay at the Intercontinental Fiji. How do I book my accommodation?

A dedicted group booking consultant is looking after all of our accommodation bookings.  There are plenty of rooms for our guests, but strongly encourage you to book as soon as possible as they are NOT specifically reserved just for us.  However, we have managed to lock in the discounted rate for some time.  So get on it!

We recommend booking accommodation from the 5th to 10th June 2016.

To get in touch with the booking team and for any specific accommodation enquiries, email Thelma at groups.fiji@ihg.com

To book your accommodation, and to RSVP, please head to our Contact Us page.

Flights and transfers

Flights vary in prices daily, so liaise with your travel agent or favourite online booking website to find the best deal.

We recommend booking flights to arrive on the 5th of June 2016, or the 6th of June 2016 no later than 1pm.  Our first function starts at 4pm on the 6th of June 2016.  If you wish to depart on the 10th of June 2016, it is recommended that you book an afternoon/evening flight where possible to give you time to recover after our Reception on the evening of the 9th of June 2016.

Virgin Australia, Qantas/Fiji Airways, and Jetstar all fly to Nadi from selected airports across Australia.

Unfortunately, due to the complex nature of group bookings, and personal preferences with flights, we cannot handle any of these.

We will try to arrange transfers on a group basis.  However, should one not be available, a taxi can be hired from the airport to take you to the resort.  It is important to RSVP with your flight details so we can track this.  Please note that transfers, if organised, will run on strict timetables and no head counts will be taken.  Own transportation will have to be organised should you miss a pre-arranged transfer.  It is strongly recommended that for peace of mind, you book your own transfers with your flights.

What do I wear?

This seems to be a pretty common question for us... so we thought we'd give you a few tips about it:

  1. Black is a bad luck colour.

  2. White is worn for funerals (i.e. avoid on wedding day)

  3. Bride Wears red (generally guests don't) on wedding day

  4. Day 2 in morning might get messy (with Pithi) so whatever you choose to wear (Indian/not) suggest making sure you don't mind it getting dirty.

  5. Reception is Beach Formal so casual (dress shirt & trousers/ Dress etc.)

  6. Girls: Lenghas are way easier to wear and more comfortable than saris but don't fret if you do want to wear a sari there will be a multitude of people around to assist!!

  7. Suggest flats on most of the events or wedges...

There is no expectation that all of our guests wear Indian clothes.  We know everyone doesn't own some.  However, if you do want to get some, there are a variety of online and local stores.

While online is always riskier you will get more choice and better price range to work with.
